Job summary The Post holder will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of clinical nursing within the ward / department.
To manage individual clinics including undertaking some procedures and administering some medications.
To take charge of the department when rostered and assessed as competent to take on the roles and responsibilities of leadership and supervision.
To act as a role model to students and Clinical Support Workers.
To present a positive, professional image of the organisation and of the nursing team.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for the organisation of individual clinics including undertaking procedures such as dressings; drain removal and gynaecology procedures.Once confident will be expected to take charge of the department which involves safe allocation of staff to clinics in line with clinic figures and ensuring any issues or delays are dealt with promptly.
