A leading hedge fund, established in 1997, specializing in diverse trading strategies across stock and index options, is seeking a talented C++/Python Software Engineer to join their Trading Technology team in London.
With a focus on innovation and collaboration, this hedge fund leverages cutting-edge technology and real-time data analysis to make informed trading decisions.
Their technology-driven environment continuously refines trading strategies using advanced statistical methods, ensuring their infrastructure adapts smoothly to shifting market conditions.
The Role: As a key member of the Trading Technology team, you will develop, maintain, and extend the critical applications that power the hedge fund's trading operations.
Working in close partnership with front-office traders, you'll gain exposure to a range of trading strategies and enjoy significant career development opportunities within a dynamic and forward-thinking setting.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborating with traders to understand requirements and providing technical support for trading tools.
Developing and maintaining back-end services vital to trading operations, such as risk management and market access services.
Extending and optimizing trading applications, focusing on real-time data processing and visualization.
Continuously refining trading infrastructure to adapt to evolving market conditions.
Working within an automated CI/CD pipeline and utilizing a containerized setup with Kubernetes.
What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2-5 years of software development experience, preferably in trading or financial services.
Proficiency in C++ and Python , with a strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.
Experience with Kubernetes, containerized environments, and Azure-based processes.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
