Role Description: We are seeking a Software Development Team Leader with a strong focus on developing production-grade software, extensive experience with Azure services, and proficiency in Java, Python, and PySpark. You will manage a team and collaborate with a third-party vendor to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Role Responsibilities: Owning the development team in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of Data Integration applications. Managing all the activities of the software development team and setting goals for each team member to ensure timely project delivery. Keeping up to date with the latest development software. Hiring and training new developers. Providing mentorship to the team and ensuring they adhere to development standards. Ensuring adequate documentation exists. Building alliances and working with other partner pillars within Kantar for a shared goal. Directing a team of 15-20 vendor team members. Required Qualifications: Essential: Experience in data processing applications. Practical production experience in software implementation. Experience working with high-level sophisticated problem definitions using algorithms. Experience working in a distributed team. Background in software development or in a hands-on technical role. Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and collaborating with third-party vendors. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Desirable Qualifications: Spark data processing. Cloud technologies – Azure, DataBricks, Kubernetes. Software Architectural skills. DevOps. Agile / Scrum certification. Strong understanding of data security, including encryption/decryption.
