Skill Machine Operator - Night Shift

Skilled Machine Operators are responsible for operating their assigned machinery to ensure the equipment runs smoothly, works at capacity without issue and is appropriately maintained.
Main Responsibilities: Effective operation of equipment to support the delivery of the highest quality of products.
Support fault finding on machines to identify and fix the root cause, escalating for support when required.
Ensure all equipment is properly cared for by the completion of effective cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
Meeting or exceeding production targets Monitor equipment output and report any issues to supervisor / line manager Ability to carry out safety checks in line with health and safety requirements Checking and controlling the machinery ensuring consistent quality Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the work area Report any non-conformances identified immediately to management Train new machine operators to the company standard and maintain their skills training regularly Demonstrate a commitment to Health & Safety by working in a safe manner, role modelling our safety behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions and escalating to other team members when support is needed.
Understand and adhere to good manufacturing practices and company standards of hygiene and PPE Work well as part of a team, playing an active part in team and business successes.
Engage with the daily challenges and opportunities and work effectively with others to overcome any issues.
Ensure the accurate and timely recording of downtime and raw material usage in an area Able to complete physically demanding duties; occasionally lift heavy loads in excess of 25kg Comply with all company rules, policies and procedures This is a list of the main duties for this role; employees should note that they should be prepared to undertake any duties deemed necessary by their supervisor or the management team of Mackle Pet Foods for the production department to meet its targets.
Essential Criteria; Operating machinery and running a production line Previous factory experience Excellent standard of written and spoken English Ability to work in physically demanding environments Be part of a team Desirable Criteria; Experience in food manufacturing on a large scale Previous food manufacturing machine operating experience Excellent communication skills Shift allowance of £2 p/h also is applied to this role on attendance Skills: Excellent communication skills Fluent in English problem solver Benefits: Health Cash Plan Wellbeing initiatives
