Activus Recruitment have an opportunity for a Site Engineer with lifting experience to join our clients team for a long term project based in Nigg.
Key Duties: Setting out the works in accordance with the drawings and specification Liaising with the contracts managers regarding construction programmes Adhering to health and safety and ensuring works are carried out safely at all times.
Resolving technical issues with client representatives, sub-contractors suppliers and statutory authorities Quality control in accordance with company procedures Measurement and valuation (in collaboration with the project quantity surveyor where appropriate) Preparing and record drawings, technical reports and site diary Assisting with producing site plans, general arrangements and calculations, using approved engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise lifting operations on construction sites.
Conduct risk assessments for lifting activities and implement appropriate control measures.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to lifting operations.
Monitor and inspect lifting equipment to ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on lifting techniques and procedures.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and safe lifting operations.
Document and report on lifting activities, including incidents and near misses.
Train and educate site staff on safe lifting practices and procedures.
Personal Requirements Proven experience in a similar role Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to understand construction drawings.
