Site Engineer

Tapa are supporting a leading construction company in their search for a skilled Site Engineer.
Job Title: Site Engineer Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland Responsibilities: Site Management: Assist in the planning, supervision, and coordination of construction activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and specifications.
Manage direct labor and subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project timelines.
Efficiently manage contracts to optimize the use of company resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Monitor daily site activities and report progress in accordance with program requirements.
Measure on-site work to aid in the preparation of interim and final accounts.
Technical Support: Provide daily technical and engineering support to site teams regarding contract specifics.
Identify and resolve potential technical issues, assisting in the implementation of solutions.
Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications, and relay these requirements to site teams.
Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Control: Ensure adherence to the companys SHEQ Management Systems and Procedures, including conducting Risk Assessments and creating Method Statements.
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and site audits to foster a culture of safety and accountability.
Identify deviations from project specifications and collaborate with the project team to implement corrective actions.
Communicate with clients, engineers, architects, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success and maintain positive business relationships.
Undertake other duties as reasonably assigned by Company Directors.
Key Criteria: A Third Level Qualification in Engineering (civil/structural) or a related field.
At least one year of experience as a Site Engineer in the civil engineering sector.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with an emphasis on groundworks.
Current residency in Northern Ireland.
Proficiency with AutoCAD software and surveying equipment.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Valid full Driving Licence.
