We are seeking a dedicated Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Oncology & Medical Ward at The Wellington Hospital. This role is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while advancing your nursing career in a prestigious and supportive environment.
As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will lead a nursing team within a 17-bed Oncology & Medical unit and two Neuroendocrine suites, providing exemplary care to oncology and medical patients. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver expert support throughout patients' care journeys.
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership: Ensure the highest standards of care in the clinical environment. Team Management: Manage a team of 6 nurses and 2 healthcare assistants. Specialist Care: Provide advanced nursing advice and facilitate comprehensive care plans. Professional Development: Supervise, mentor, and provide learning opportunities for junior staff members. Quality Improvement: Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvements. Collaboration: Work closely with the Ward Manager and deputize in their absence. Patient & Family Support: Engage with patients, families, and carers. What you'll bring: NMC Registered Nurse Relevant post registration experience in Oncology Proven ability to manage, mentor, and inspire a team.
