Job DescriptionChildren's, Education and Justice ServicesSexual and Violent Offending Liaison Officer (SAVOLO), Justice ServicesVarious locations across EdinburghSalary: £44, - £52, (pro-rata for part time)Hours: 14 per weekWe are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our SAVOLO service.Accountable to the Team Leader and with public safety being paramount, as a SAVOLO you will work closely with colleagues across Edinburgh Justice Services, the wider Council, and other partners including Police Scotland, Health, Scottish Prison Service and Third Sector, to make decisions regarding risk levels, develop risk management plans which mitigate against these risks and safeguard the public, and provide support and advice to colleagues and partnersEdinburgh Justice Services are committed to providing high quality services while ensuring a compassionate approach to people accessing our services and supporting staff wellbeing.
We offer a high level of training to support continuous professional development and to deliver a broad range of interventions, including established, accredited, group work programmes.
We are implementing Trauma Informed Practice, Safe & Together™ and Restorative Justice practice models and interventions across our services, and are establishing a Women's Centre, in partnership with NHS Lothian, to reduce barriers and meet the needs of women involved in the justice system.
