Job summary We arelooking for a job-share / part-time service lead for paediatric therapiesworking hours per week.
This is permanent role, however, applicationswould be welcomed from applicants looking for a development role on asecondment or fixed term basis.The team includes occupational therapy, physiotherapy andspecialist play service working jointly with speech and language therapy,community paediatricians, child development centre teams, equipment services,orthotics and early years services to offer community OT and physiotherapyintervention across Worcestershire.
This is adynamic and innovative team with a highly child centred approach to theirintervention working in partnership with families and young people to offerhigh quality care.
The service is implementing the Balanced System and hasreviewed its caseload to be able to prioritise care to the right childrenat the right time.
This is an exciting time of potential change and developmentfor the service strong leadership is needed to make this process smooth.You will need to have HCPC registration aseither a physio or OT.
You would need to be prepared to work at all of the basescovered by the team as needed.
The work base can be discussed at interview.There is an option for some home working as appropriate.You will have support from team leaders and clinical leads withinthe team, the clinical services manager (job share partner) and seniormanagement team.
Main duties of the job You will work inpartnership with your job share partner to provide leadership for thepaediatric therapies team.
Line managingthe team leaders and clinical leads; offering clinical and managerial oversightto the therapy teams; leading the team through a period of change andtransformation.
Maintaining best practice and quality for the children andyoung people accessing the services.
Supporting staff and working towards staffwellbeing.
Maintaining policies and procedures for the teams within truststandards.
Acting as an advocate for the service.
You willensure all Trust initiatives are interpreted and applied to the service andclinical quality of the offer is maintained through a robust review and auditprocess.
Engaging with transformation and change projects, you will keep theneeds of the client group central to all decision making.
You will contributeto senior management meetings as required and lead service level meetings andbe responsible for the governance of the service and the quality of practice,such as clinical record keeping and safeguarding.
You will hold an overview ofthe recruitment and workforce development for the service.
You will collaborateclosely with the clinical services manager, commissioners and transformationpartners to ensure the integrity and quality of the offer to children and youngpeople is maintained.

Person Specification Experience Essential Extensive experience of practicing within own professional filed Track record of practice/service development Operational management and leading a team Experience in working in a community setting Experience of working in a childrens related field Risk management Desirable Experience of working with a multidisciplinary/multi-agency approach Qualifications Essential Professional qualification at degree or equivalent level Evidence of relevant continual professional development and post graduate study I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
