Job summary Service Development Manager - Learning Disability and Autism Collaborative Secondment / Fixed Term until March 2026.

pw.Following further investment in our work by NHSE we are pleased to share our plans for a new and exciting leadership opportunity in our successful and ambitious Learning Disabilities and Autism Collaborative for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.Our team works closely together to provide leadership in our Integrated Care System to commission, deliver and improve services for local people.With the support of our commissioning and local authority partners the responsibilities of the Collaborative continue to expand; embracing system leadership opportunities, strengthening our contribution to strategic planning, commissioning, programme management and service improvement.Working as a key member of our award-winning Learning Disability and Autism Collaborative the successful candidate will lead the planning, programme management and reporting arrangements for our team, working across health, social care and voluntary and community sector organisations.They will lead a team of staff to ensure consistent delivery of outstanding practice so that we can continue to improve the lives of local people and supporting our staff to excel.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be an experienced, skilled and committed project/programme leader with strong evidence of leading across systems in partnership with other agencies.The strongest candidate will have a track record of delivering demonstrable quality improvements in the commissioning, delivery and improvement of Learning Disability and Autism services.Reporting to the Deputy Director who leads the LDA Collaborative the post holder will work closely with senior commissioners and operational managers to deliver the systems plan for the continued investment and reform of services for autistic people and people with a learning disability.Key to the success of this role is the post holders ability to:Lead and co-ordinate the work of experienced managers and cliniciansdeliver improvements in the quality and safety of services that are shaped by lived experienceslead the delivery and evaluation of projects through others to ensure strategic plans are realised, ensuring robust arrangements are maintained to provide timely and comprehensive reporting for local and regional governance processesLead change that results in our services being increasingly accessible to all local communitiessupport colleagues in commissioning roles to identify opportunities for improvement and work with system partners to develop business cases to progress our Collaboratives strategiesWant to find out more?
