Role: Senior Technical Architect - Counter Terrorism Policing

Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate

Hours per week: 37 hours per week

Contract Length: Anticipated 12 months

Location: Hybrid working - 3 days a week onsite, either in London or Birmingham.



We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to design and support complex ICT infrastructures. In this critical role, you will be responsible for creating and documenting current and future-state architectures, working with cross-functional teams to design robust, resilient solutions that meet both immediate project needs and long-term objectives.

You will bring a solid understanding of Government Security Classifications and are familiar with the Cabinet Office Security Policy Framework, along with deep expertise in TOGAF and other architectural frameworks. Your experience designing highly secure, scalable systems, particularly those requiring IL5-level accreditation, is essential, and your knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies will further enable you to deliver adaptable, high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Document current As-Is and future To-Be designs for projects. Design solutions. Create Architecture diagrams and data sets to help communicate the changes occurring across CTP. Identify technical experiments to validate design decisions. Work across projects and with other architects to ensure that all systems align to the Strategic vision and any technical debt identified. Ensure that any architectural dependencies between projects are understood, documented and accepted. Experience & skills: Experience and knowledge of the Government Security Classifications levels and an understanding of the Cabinet Office Security Policy Framework. Experience of designing system via Architectural Frameworks especially TOGAF. Understanding of ITIL and Agile methodologies. Experience in writing Design Documentation suitable for accreditation at up to IL5. Ability to demonstrate Expert knowledge in the design and build of resilient designs. Expertise of designing solutions hosted on AWS including their Well Architected Framework and Landing Zones (experience of PALZ is a bonus). Expertise of designing and working with AzureAD and Office 365 Services. Expertise of designing a Linux environment within a larger Windows environment. Expertise of VMware Virtualisation.
