What Youll Do Join our dynamic Finance Function in the BCG London office as a Senior Tax Manager.
We are interested in people who are ready to become part of a highly engaged and diverse team.
In this role, you will report to the Senior Tax Director and support them on UK direct tax matters.
Tax matters include meeting all statutory obligations for UK direct taxes, managing the relationship with HMRC, supporting all (group) reporting obligations and implementing regional and global tax initiatives to create and protect tax value for BCG.
Compliance and Reporting: Lead tax input into the statutory financial statements and the statutory auditResponsible for the timely submission of the corporate and partnership tax returns, including management of relationships with tax compliance external advisersOversee withholding tax, corporate tax payments, reporting, and complianceManage accounting for direct tax provisions, balance sheet reconciliations, and reservesDevelop and maintain strong working relationships across the business - keep up to date with business priorities and developments to identify tax risks and opportunitiesInternal technical direct tax point of contact, including researching & responding to queriesIdentify needs and deliver direct tax training with key stakeholdersKey direct tax contact for external advisers, external auditor and tax authorities.Monitor changes to tax law changes and tax authority practice; identify tax risks and opportunities and recommend actionsProcess Improvement and Collaboration: Build relationships with wider local and global stakeholders incl tax, treasury, finance, legal, and operationsCollaborate with local & global cross-functional teams to provide tax guidance and support for business initiatives and process improvementsTax Controversy and Governance: Support the Senior Director in building and maintaining an open and clear working relationship with HMRCs Customer Compliance Manager and the wider HMRC team, including dealing with enquiries, virtual or onsite compliance checks, ongoing business risk reviews, and maintenance of supporting documentation including risk, control & governance frameworksUndertake regular compliance reviews and collaborate on tax strategy, governance, and controls improvementsWhat Youll Bring 10 years in tax at a Big 4 accounting firm, or significant experience in the tax function of a MNEUniversity educated, plus accounting &/or tax qualificationsStrong knowledge of local tax & statutory requirementsExperience in UK & international tax advisory, structuring, compliance and transfer pricingConfidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders and integrate into the finance functionFluent in English (written & spoken)Willingness to work across LAB, embrace transformation, automation and GenAI opportunitiesPlease note this position is not restricted solely to the responsibilities listed above and that the job scope and responsibilities are subject to change.
