As a Senior Staff Nurse in our PICU, your responsibilities will include:
- Taking responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating holistic care plans for children in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Acting as a role model and mentor to junior/student nurses.
- Building strong relationships with children and their families.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Staff Nurse role will have:
- NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support.
- Post Graduate experience working in a PICU setting.
- Understanding of Safeguarding issues.
- Teaching and mentoring experience.
- Completion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 credits.
- Excellent clinical governance and experience with audits.
