Senior Scientist - Translational Oncology

We are currently seeking a bright and experienced Senior Scientist to join our client's dynamic Translational Oncology Department due to significant business growth.
This role is essential for supporting all in vivo aspects of drug discovery projects using specialized oncology disease models.
About the Role: As a Senior Scientist, you will plan, design, and execute a variety of projects while contributing to the discovery of new drugs across multiple molecular targets and therapeutic modalities.
In vivo experience in oncology is crucial for this position.
Principal Responsibilities: Apply scientific and technical knowledge of oncology pharmacology models in drug discovery.
Provide strong technical oversight in your area of expertise Engage in both lab-based and significant non-lab-based responsibilities Conduct independent critical analysis and interpretation of experimental data Coordinate the delivery of high-quality scientific data and insights to projects and clients Present scientific findings and recommendations to project teams and clients with minimal guidance Mentor less experienced team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality science Potentially supervise junior team members Key Requirements: PhD in Life Sciences or equivalent Proven track record in oncology drug discovery within the CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors Experience with oncology in vivo models in drug discovery Familiarity with a range of ex-vivo analysis platforms.
Strong ability to interpret and solve complex data sets Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project needs Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Exceptional written and verbal communication skills In-depth knowledge of ASPA 1986 and high ethical standards Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards Self-motivated and enthusiastic, capable of working independently and as part of a team This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to further develop their scientific and technical expertise in a fast-growing, innovative drug discovery environment.
