Location: Norfolk Salary range: - £47k - £55k Background As a Structural Revit Technician, you will become an integral part of a dynamic team engaged in projects spanning all stages.
You'll work within a multidisciplinary contractor design team on a diverse array of building and civil engineering projects ranging from £0.1m to £30m+.
Our projects include education, retail, commercial, industrial, office spaces, medical and research facilities, as well as award-winning decarbonisation and residential schemes.
You will be provided with a company vehicle as well.
Your role will involve providing structural modelling and technical detailing, collaborating closely with our Architectural designers to deliver cohesive, integrated design solutions.
Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in the UK across a wide range of construction sectors.
HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Support for further training and development will be provided and encouraged, including EngTech.
Key Skills & Knowledge Building Regulations Structural Steelwork Modelling/Detailing Reinforced Concrete Modelling/Detailing General Construction and Engineering Detailing Computer-Aided Design Software (AutoCAD, REVIT) Requirements of ISO19650 and other standards related to BIM and digital design Key Responsibilities Generate design output using BIM software such as REVIT, adhering to industry BIM standards, protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance with BIM Level 2 standard and beyond as outlined by ISO19650.
Produce working drawings, reports, and specifications ensuring adherence to National/International Standards, statutory requirements, and the project brief.
Collaborate with Engineers and other designers to determine the format, scope of design data, and technical content required for the project (models, drawings, schedules, specifications, etc.).
Aid in developing drawing/BIM standards and QA procedures associated with BIM.
Incorporate standard/proprietary manufacturer's details into working drawings and models.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with all relevant project drawings.
Conduct site visits and perform measured surveying to ensure dimensional compatibility between proposed and existing structures, as needed.
Attend site to verify that site works comply with the design, including aspects such as reinforcement and foundations.
Mentor, support, and supervise Trainees/Technicians.
Communicate effectively with the design team to establish the program and key dates for information issuance, contributing to workload scheduling for yourself and those you mentor/supervise.
Contribute to fee calculations by accurately evaluating the detailing/modelling resources required for the project.
Review the output of others, including models, drawings, schedules, and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements and current best practices/standards.
