We offer our 12 million customers products across our market-leading brands, including Standard Life, SunLife and ReAssure, with c.£259 billion of assets under administration. We're a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050.
The role We're currently recruiting for a Senior Review Actuary to join our IFRS17 Actuarial Review team within the Financial Reporting Centre to provide a highly professional actuarial service applying deep technical & business knowledge to aid senior management decision making and to lead others in the actuarial specialism.
In this role you will provide oversight over a team of Review Actuaries to produce the quarterly valuation results and be responsible for gaining sign off of the results across a number of Non Profit and With Profit funds within the Life Company.
You will work closely with the other Senior Review Actuaries in the team, providing them with support in their specialist areas (Matched (annuity), Non Matched (Non-profit) and With Profits).
You will also take a prominent leadership role, working with senior stakeholders, attend governance committees and provide expert knowledge to support projects from around the business. You provide a key role in ensuring that the business can meet its solvency requirements and in identifying and supporting management actions and work closely with the Head of Actuarial Review.
This role will also give the successful applicant the opportunity to act as business lead across projects. This will be a technical role with no direct management responsibilities to start with but with the opportunity to do so in the future.
What We're Looking For You will be a qualified actuary, with significant post qualified experience. You should have SII and IFRS17 reporting experience, ideally across different product groups.
We want to hire the whole version of you. We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we've advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we'd love to hear from you.
If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
