£45,000 - £50,000 Monday Friday (Mon - Thurs 08:30 - 17:00 / Friday - 08:30 - 12:30) Wigan BX2 are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer for an established manufacturing company.
Senior Quality Engineer Skills, Experience, and education required: Experience in ISO 9001/AS9100/ISO14001 (Essential) Experience in IATF16949 (Desirable) Internal auditor ISO9001/IATF16949/AS9100/ISO14001.
Considerable experience in working with customers, suppliers.
Degree or equivalent within Engineering, Science or Quality Senior Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities and Duties As a Senior Quality Engineer, your role will include: Senior Quality representative for the site.
Ensure compliance to customer, regulatory and business requirements, providing guidance and support.
Manage, promote and retain all applicable accreditations for management systems: IS09001/TS16949/AS9100/ISO14001, customer, and product, and in line with other business requirements.
Manage external/internal site management system audit processes.
Ensure site compliance to applicable Management System documentation and communication of Management System effectiveness.
Develop, monitor and maintain site metrics (including customer satisfaction).
Drive site product and process quality improvement using function appropriate tools (e.g.
CAPA, audit etc).
Ensure QHSE participation and provide input for business reviews.
Ensure Quality team involvement in applicable Advanced Product Quality Planning and manufacturing release processes.
Define testing plans for new product approval and introduction.
Ensure management and control of non-conforming material/product process.
Leading and facilitating response to non-conforming products and processes- dealing/resolving customer complaints with corrective action plans, internal quality problems, accidents and incidents.
Manage standard practices for site supplier quality processes and maintain effective auditing of critical suppliers.
An awareness of current HSE legislation, supporting changes to working practices to ensure that they are safe and comply with legislation.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement programmes to deliver these improvements.
