Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic senior project manager to join the Sussex Mental Health Inpatient Transformation Programme.
The role, as a fixed term contract for 12 months, will support the Trust to implement the new Inpatient Strategic Plan.
The role will co-produce with people who use services, their carers, supporters, the ICB and stakeholders from both statutory and non-statutory organisations the transformation of our current inpatient provisions and alternatives to admission including as well as new innovations and services for the communities of Sussex.
Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust (SPFT) operates a centralised Transformation & Change function, enabling the Trust to deliver its major change programmes, to improve outcomes and deliver better post holder will take a lead on the inpatients strategic programme and support the wider acute and urgent care transformation portfolio .
Main duties of the job Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust (SPFT) operates a centralised Transformation & Change function, enabling the Trust to deliver its major change programmes, to improve outcomes and deliver better post holder will take a lead within the programme, responsible for planning, day-to-day delivery, and subsequent performance management, adjusting plans as required to ensure that risks and issues are mitigated.
The post holder will work closely with expert working groups and ensure effective management of dependencies within the programme and across the portfolio of programmes supported by the Head of Programme.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area Knowledge & Experience Essential Significant relevant project management and improvement experience, with a track record of delivery Experience within senior operational or project roles, ideally within the NHS Experience of complex stakeholder management Knowledge of a range of specific project areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training Experience of devising and managing project budgets Experience of reporting project progress to Project Board Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment Knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as PRINCE2, AGILE and Experience of applying quality improvement and project management skills across multi-provider pathway Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders Experience of managing a team without direct line management
