Senior or Principal Flood Risk Engineer Location: London Experience: 5-12 years Full Time Are you passionate about protecting the environment and keen to work with a team that will support your growth as an expert Flood Risk Engineer ?
We're on the lookout for a Senior or Principal Flood Risk Engineer , and this could be your perfect next step!
With at least 5 years of experience , you'll have the opportunity to dive into a variety of exciting projects.
From high-profile regeneration schemes to urban developments , rail projects , and flood alleviation schemes , you'll play a key role in helping private and public sector clients manage flood risks and develop sustainable drainage strategies.
What your days will look like: ? Writing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) for private and public sector schemes ? Designing SuDS and surface water drainage strategies ? Attending meetings with clients, local authorities, and design teams ? Spotting flooding risks and opportunities at development sites ? Reviewing and producing FRAs and drainage strategies with MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage ? Understanding hydrological and hydraulic modelling (Tuflow, Flood Modeller, FEH) ? Managing projects, finances, and mentoring junior staff ? Writing clear, concise reports (no waffle, just the essentials!)
What you'll bring: A solid knowledge of NPPF , SuDS , and the planning system Experience in hydrological and hydraulic modelling Great communication and project management skills Passion for mentoring junior engineers Ability to deliver top-quality work to clients (while staying calm under pressure!)
