We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Specialist to help drive ourgrowing business forward, delivering the very best logistics services.
Job Overview: The Senior Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing high-value automotive and international logistics projects, with aparticular focus on air freight operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in luxury automotive shipping, and a deepunderstanding of international logistics and Customs procedures including Carnets de Passage, temporary imports, ATA Carnets andIPR. You will work closely with our clients and partners to provide exceptional service, ensuring smooth, secure, and timely deliveriesglobally.
Key Responsibilities: 1) End-to-end Automotive Logistics Management: o Oversee all aspects of luxury vehicle logistics from collection to delivery, managing the complete supply chainand ensuring every detail is handled with care.
o Working closely with airlines and cargo handling agents, building on Pro-Logist's already strong relationships.
o Coordinate shipments for time-sensitive events and exhibitions, working with clients to meet tight deadlines and ad-hoc requirements.
2) Client Relationship Management: o Serve as the main point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing tailored logistics solutions for their unique needs.
o Ensure constant communication with clients regarding shipment status, problem resolution, and service updates.
3) Customs & Compliance: o Ensure full compliance with international regulations, including customs documentation, import/export restrictions, and Dangerous Goods regulations.
o Keep updated with regulatory changes impacting automotive and air logistics.
4) Operational Excellence: o Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
o Work with the Operations Manager to track and analyse supplier service levels and costings.
o Work with global logistics partners to maintain best-in-class service across the entire supply chain.
Skills & Qualifications: • 2-3 years of experience in automotive logistics and international freight.
• Experience in managing high-value shipments.
• In-depth knowledge of international freight and customs compliance.
• Stong network of partners and key contacts who will help us achieve our goal of providing superior service at all times.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
• Experience in handling logistics for automotive events is preferred.
• Dangerous Goods certification.
