Senior Motor Trade Underwriter - Manchester Due to expansion our longstanding insurer client is looking for a Senior Motor Trade Underwriter. It will be a mixture of new business and renewals across a select panel of brokers.
Your role: Profitably develop and underwrite Motor Trade Risks through a panel of brokers, with the opportunity to underwrite face to face.
Supporting the commercial account by engaging and encouraging new and existing relationships with regional brokers.
Alongside the BDMs, prospect and actively contribute to the growth targets of the team optimising sales and retention.
Provide excellent service levels to both internal and external customers.
Maintain an up to date knowledge the commercial insurance and broking market.
Provide technical assistance, take referrals and provide guidance to colleagues.
Your experience and skills: Experience in underwriting and trading commercial Motor Trade products.
A detailed knowledge of the NW broker market.
Proven relationship management skills.
The ability to demonstrate meeting & exceeding personal and team objectives.
Minimum Cert CII.
Dip CII, or progress towards, is preferred.
Proven effective and strong trading skills including prospecting and optimising new business and retention.
A strong and decisive approach to underwriting.
The ability to work independently but also as part of a team to deliver common goals.
