Proskauer is seeking a Senior Legal Project Management Analyst ("Senior LPM Analyst"), based in the London office.
The Senior LPM Analyst will work with the Legal Project Management team to support lawyers in managing the Firm's business and clients through early-stage matter engagement and budgeting, on-going matter lifecycle support, and reporting/monitoring to help promote increased profitability and scalability.
The Senior LPM Analyst will work closely with professionals across the Firm's Business Services teams to support the continued development of the Firm's legal operations strategic objectives in London, working to equip our lawyers with the information, tools and resources to deliver key data insights and value-driven solutions.
This role will report to the UK Legal Project Manager.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Support the Legal Project Management function's objectives by using Excel skills, Firm LPM resources (e.g.
PowerBI, Smartsheet), external programs (e.g.
Preqin) or other data analysis and project management tools to manage, track, pull, and analyze information and data Manage and implement matter management workflows to ensure diligent monitoring and assist in driving profitability Provide timely communications to director and Client Operations regarding notable engagements and matter activity Assist the London pricing team with data and analytics to prepare timely, accurate and professionally polished attorney and client-facing estimates and budgets Prepare internal and external data insight reports, using Excel skills and/or other reporting tools to present information Develop expertise and lead matter management efforts in key practice areas, organizing and capturing data to enhance accuracy in budgeting and matter management Attend, participate in and lead meetings with partners regarding matter statuses, billing expectations and timelines, updates to matter plans and more Learn about the Firm's systems and data to apply understanding of financial concepts and problem-solving skills to support strategic objectives Partner with colleagues in Client Operations, Pricing, Knowledge Management, and other Business Services groups to provide project support and garner key information for crafting deliverables and driving projects forward Maintain project trackers and budget repositories to ensure statuses are up to date to facilitate oversight and reporting Identify issues and/or opportunities and proactively raise them, tracking issues through resolution and documenting lessons learned Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; other relevant qualifications and/or experience desirable 3-4 years of law firm experience preferred, working in or with a legal project management team Exposure to private equity practice areas is a plus Proficiency in project management, legal, financial management and/or process improvement Experience leading calls with attorneys at all levels Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills Must be proactive, a self-starter, and highly organized Work well as part of a team and independently Strong technical acumen, including solid proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Proskauer is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a work environment that fosters diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity without regard to race, color, gender, age, creed, sex, religion, national origin, disability (physical or mental), marital status, citizenship, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, or any other legally protected status.
