Job summary Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of Acute (mainly hospital-based) health services, serving residents of Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, and surrounding areas including Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and parts of north-east Sussex; and services, such as Oncology and Ophthalmology, across a wider area.
The Trust has three main hospital sites, the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, Maidstone Hospital and Fordcombe Hospital.
This post will be predominantly based at Maidstone Hospital, however, the role will see the post holder frequently work at other sites within the county, depending on demand.
Therefore, the post holder will not always be based at Maidstone Hospital and the ability to drive and have your own vehicle is a requirement for this role.
We require an experienced Senior IT Support engineer who will be able to make an immediate impact to the team.
Main duties of the job Your duties will include: The day to day second line resolution of incidents, service requests and effecting approved changes.Hands on IT technical support via face to face, remote access and phone, supporting the MTW IT estate and employees.Configuration, deployment and maintenance of desktop PCs, laptops and tablets (iOS and Android).Configuration, support and maintenance of mobile and audio-visual technology.Updating of incident and request tickets within the Service Management tool.Documentation of procedures.Project work as required.Compliance with operational processes ( Incident Management, Request Management, Major Incident Management).Network configuration as required including port patching and fault diagnosis.
hours per week, Monday to Friday, on shift between 8am-6pm.Travel - you will be required to travel between our four main sites as well as to our satellite sites around Kent and Surrey.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Relevant BTEC National or Higher National Diploma, Degree Microsoft Certified Desktop Support IT Infrastructure Library - Foundation Demonstrable Continued Professional Development If no qualifications, at least 3 years' experience working in a comparable technical role is required Desirable Member of a Professional Body, eg BCS MCSE/MCSA Experience/ Knowledge Essential If no qualifications, at least 3 years' experience working in a comparable technical role is required Demonstrable and extensive experience and knowledge of end user device architecture Load, setup and tuning of Microsoft products, eg Office 2019 Ability to rapidly diagnose and fix incidents and problems remotely either by telephone or using a designated tool Experience of working in a Microsoft Active Directory environment Strong experience of working with MECM (SCCM) Desirable Supported a range of Clinical Applications Skills Essential Ability to analyse a range of complex technical issues and propose interim/ permanent resolution as appropriate Ability to explain technical issues in a non- technical way to end users Excellent written skills and demonstrable experience of participating in drafting and proofing technical procedures and system documentation Negotiation, influencing and persuading skills, including handling complaints tactfully
