Leo Recruitment is seeking an iOS Engineer on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (open to negotiation on length of contract) on behalf of a FinTech start-up organisation who found a gap in the market to deliver a bespoke, unique payment system designed specifically for the yachting industry – a niche market with few competitors, who are on course to becoming the market-leader in this sector!

Salary & Benefits: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract with competitive annual salary of up to £70,000 - £80,000 depending on skills and experience Fully remote work arrangement from anywhere in the UK Two-way flexibility, allowing you to prioritise family, friends, hobbies, and other commitments Open to negotiation on length of contract with potential future career prospects within a growing start-up if the contract is extended or becomes permanent Generous/unlimited holiday (officially 28 days plus bank holidays, however the company operates a flexible 'fair use' policy on additional leave beyond this if you want or need to take additional time off) Private healthcare (Vitality) Life insurance Pension scheme Company retreats and the opportunity for occasional travel (such as international yacht shows and team-building events) Casual dress code An enjoyable, positive, entrepreneurial working environment and a great team spirit!
The Role: iOS Engineer As an iOS Engineer, you will develop and maintain efficient iOS applications using Swift, leveraging the latest iOS SDK features.
You will implement dependency injection frameworks like Factory or Swift-Dependencies to manage scalability and maintainability.
You will build dynamic and responsive user interfaces with SwiftUI and ensure robustness through comprehensive testing.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive product while optimising performance to enhance user experience.
You will contribute to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and stay up-to-date with the latest iOS technologies to ensure the app remains cutting-edge.
To Be Successful: You will need at least 5 years of experience in iOS development with a solid background in building and maintaining iOS applications.
You should be proficient in Swift and have familiarity with Objective-C, as well as hands-on experience with dependency injection techniques.
You'll need strong experience with SwiftUI for building complex UIs and testing frameworks like XCTest, Quick, or Nimble.
You should be skilled in API integration, version control (Git), and iOS architecture patterns like MVVM, MVC, or VIPER.
You will need strong problem-solving abilities, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
Experience in the financial services industry is a plus Location: Fully remote from anywhere in the UK.
Working Hours: The company operates a fully flexible working approach, but you will need to show commitment to the role, especially during the early phase of development.
