James Gray Recruitment are actively looking for a Senior Estimator to join our clients expanding team to be based within their Glasgow offices.
Our client: • A well-established family run contractor specialising in groundworks and civil engineering Key Responsibilities: • Analyse project documentation to accurately prepare cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including roadworks, earthworks, drainage, and associated infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather and interpret technical information.
• Lead the preparation of tender submissions, pricing schedules, and value engineering proposals.
• Monitor market trends, material costs, and subcontractor rates to ensure competitive yet accurate estimates.
• Present detailed cost breakdowns and justifications to stakeholders and senior leadership.
What you will need to be successful: • Proven track record as a Senior Estimator or similar role within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector.
• Strong expertise in roadworks and associated infrastructure, with a deep understanding of industry standards and practices is also desirable.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
