Senior EIA Consultant Location: Norwich
Salary: £35-55k DOE

To support their ongoing growth, we are looking for new members of the team to deliver excellence in supporting their clients on new infrastructure projects.
The Role As a Senior EIA Consultant, you'll be a key member of the project delivery team for a Development Consent Order providing technical advice. You will be a key point of contact for the client but supported by a wider team, providing environmental project management and planning advice. You will also have the enablement to support and develop others within the team to build strong competence to aid delivery for our clients.
Responsibilities In The Role Lead and provide technical advice on multidisciplinary environmental inputs across a range of projects, with a focus on the management of EIAs, in support of gaining development consent. Coordinate the preparation of EIA screening and scoping reports and Environmental Statements, including the technical review of specialist chapters. Liaise with internal supply teams, including working collaboratively with design teams to ensure that environmental considerations are appropriately considered. Work in partnership with other members of the EIA team, managing resources, delegating activities, and monitoring budgets. Provide comprehensive advice on internal sustainability initiatives, sustainability, and carbon neutral opportunities. Prepare and submit EIA reports. Conduct research and undertake comprehensive planning appraisals to establish the development potential of sites. Write high-quality reports with clear recommendations. Prepare fee proposals (with support from your line manager) to generate new business. The candidate will ideally have; An environmental or related degree. Chartership status or be on the journey to becoming chartered (through CIWEM, CIEEM, IEMA). Experience in working on broad and technical projects, delivering to a high standard for clients. Experience providing technical advice for large and mid-level infrastructure projects. Strong and up-to-date EIA technical and legislative knowledge and experience, with an understanding of one or more environmental technical areas. Consultancy experience.
