Our client is a global government advisory and strategic communications consultancy, the Senior Director's role is in leading client engagements, overseeing high-level strategy, and managing complex communications and public affairs projects.
Our client primarily serves governments, helping them to navigate strategic communications, public diplomacy, and reputation management in challenging and often high-stakes contexts.
Key responsibilities: Strategic Leadership and Advisory: The Senior Director leads the development of strategic communications frameworks tailored to meet client objectives.
This includes advising senior government officials, policy leaders, or executives on communication strategies, crisis management, and public policy initiatives.
Client Relationship Management: Acting as the primary contact for clients, Senior Directors work closely with government clients and other high-profile stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and alignment with strategic goals.
They are responsible for maintaining and deepening relationships with key decision-makers, often influencing critical policy or communications directions.
Project and Team Management: Senior Directors oversee project teams, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet our clients standards of excellence.
They mentor junior team members and manage resource allocation, budgeting, and timelines for complex, multi-layered projects.
Reputation and Crisis Management: In cases where clients face reputational challenges, Senior Directors develop and implement crisis communication plans, working to mitigate risks and safeguard the client's public image.
They coordinate rapid response strategies, media engagement, and stakeholder communication to manage and resolve crises effectively.
Public Diplomacy and Advocacy: Our clients work often involves shaping international perceptions and improving diplomatic relations.
Senior Directors help craft messages and campaigns that support clients' foreign policy goals and enhance their standing on the global stage.
Media and Stakeholder Engagement: Senior Directors design media strategies and cultivate relationships with influential media and thought leaders, particularly within the client's region of focus.
They may oversee press releases, interviews, and editorial placements to ensure consistent and positive media coverage.
Research and Insights: They conduct research to inform strategy, including media analysis, public sentiment studies, and geopolitical trends.
This research helps to ensure that communications strategies are informed, targeted, and capable of achieving desired outcomes.
