Role: As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work closely with our clients to analyze complex data sets, extract valuable insights, and drive data-driven decision-making for their digital products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product designers, engineers, and product managers to develop innovative solutions and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities: Analyse large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends and insights to guide product development strategies
Develop predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical models to solve business problems and improve product performance.
Design and implement data experiments, conduct A/B testing, and evaluate product performance using appropriate statistical techniques.
Act as a proactive, self-starter to lay the foundation of the Data Science practice within the consultancy. Take an entrepreneurial approach to identify opportunities, establish best practices, and set strategic direction, with the potential to grow and lead a dedicated data science team as the function evolves.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, identify data sources, and ensure data quality and integrity.
Communicate findings and insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders through data visualisations, reports, and presentations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics tools and techniques, and apply them to drive innovation in our consultancy services.
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in a digital product consultancy or similar environment.
Proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
Demonstrated experience in developing, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models (e.g., GPT, BERT). Familiarity with model architectures, optimisation techniques, and managing the computational challenges associated with LLMs.
Proven expertise in implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation, combining LLMs with external knowledge bases to enhance information retrieval and improve response accuracy. Strong understanding of RAG workflows, including indexing, retrieval, and integration with language models
Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business objectives into data-driven solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
