Senior Consultant (Infrastructure Automation & Software Engineering)

Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Consultant with a software engineering approach to delivering automation, balancing critical concerns such as security, maintainability, testing, re-usability, and resiliency.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, results-oriented, and delivery-driven individual with minimal need for guidance.
The role involves working on large, multi-threaded, globally distributed, and complex projects.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engaging in both on-site and remote work environments.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver infrastructure automation using modern practices, ensuring high levels of security, maintainability, testing, and re-usability.
Architect, build, and maintain cloud-native applications with an emphasis on event-driven, microservice-based architecture using OpenShift and Kafka.
Develop production-ready APIs and application code in Python3; knowledge of Go is an advantage.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
Build observability into applications, leveraging alerting, logging, and monitoring frameworks to ensure quick recovery from failure.
Collaborate with distributed and cross-functional teams to deliver transformation at scale, migrating legacy applications to cloud-native architectures.
Communicate effectively with senior executives and key stakeholders, providing project updates and leading issue resolution.
Essential Skills & Qualifications: Significant experience in infrastructure automation in complex environments, using tools such as Ansible (Ansible Automation Platform), Chef, and Terraform.
Proven track record in delivering transformation at scale, particularly in cloud-native architecture.
Strong background in software development, particularly in Python3, with experience in production-ready API and application code.
Deep understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps/SRE methodologies and experience implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices.
Experience with cloud-native applications, leveraging technologies like OpenShift and Kafka for event-driven, microservice-based systems.
Excellent knowledge of CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab), and the ability to integrate observability frameworks into applications.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications: Experience working on large, multi-threaded, globally distributed, and complex projects.
Hands-on, results-driven individual with minimal need for supervision.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively, while identifying and mitigating project risks.
Experience communicating with senior leadership and managing key stakeholders to drive project outcomes.
Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Go programming language.
Knowledge of APEX Cloud Platform for Red Hat OpenShift.
