Senior Communications Manager

Are you an experienced communicator with an eye for a good story, or a journalist looking for the next move in their career?
An opening has come up for a talented and proactive Senior Communications Manager at the Portman Group, the UK's alcohol regulator and social responsibility body.
We need someone who knows the media inside out and knows how to identify and deliver coverage opportunities in order to tell our story and establish the organisation as a key voice on alcohol issues.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of media activity and working with the wider team to lead on communication needs from across the organisation, giving this role the flexibility to really make your own.
This is a purpose driven role and we're looking for a knowledgeable self-starter who enjoys using social media creatively and is confident pitching ideas and stories to journalists to bring our work to life.
