Senior Clinical Fellow In Urogynaecology

Job summary We are looking for Full time Clinical Fellow in Urogynaecology .
The appointment is to commence in December 2024 for a fixed term period of 12months.
The successful candidate should be at a training level of ST3 - 5 in obstetrics and gynaecology and hold a National Training Number.
The post holder will apply for an Out-of-Programme for Research (OOPR) in order to undertake the post.
As this is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is needed, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK, sponsorship will be required.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will work closely with the consultants and the clinical teams in the Sheffield Mesh Centre and have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and training whilst working in a busy tertiary referral centre.
The doctor will have an academic supervisor who will support the research component, and an educational supervisor to support clinical components of the post and assist in meeting the individual's training and career goals including appraisal.The successful trainee should be at a training level of ST3+ in obstetrics and gynaecology, and is expected to take on responsibilities associated with this role.
The clinical fellow will need to respect the roles of others within the MDT and be able to communicate with them appropriately.Please refer to the supporting job description and person specification which will outline the duties of the role including an indicative job plan.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered (or eligible to be registered) with the GMC with a licence to practise Medical degree MRCOG part 1 Desirable MRCOG part 2 and 3 Clinical experience Essential Demonstrates experience in Urogynaecology Evidence of participation in research Attendance at urogynaecology national meetings ST3-ST5 or equivalent Desirable Presentation at urogynaecology meetings Publications in urogynaecology Teaching and training Essential Experience of teaching medical students and junior doctors Research Essential Ability to critically assess published research and incorporate it into clinical practice where appropriate/ Understanding of research methods, and statistics Desirable Publications in Peer reviewed journals.
