We are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for a Financial Modelling Senior Analyst to join our team in Financial Modelling.
In this role, you'll build and maintain Pricing and Planning models as well as models used for Asset and Liability Management (ALM) across Finance.
This is an exciting time to join the team, as the Society embarks on an ambitious growth plan, Financial Modelling will be at the heart of enabling that growth through transforming the Finance modelling landscape.
This can be a hybrid role with a minimum of one day a week of onsite presence in our central Leeds office required.
About the role As Financial Modelling Senior Analyst , you will Design, develop and deliver new models or model redevelopments to support the Society's Finance teams (including Financial Planning and Pricing, ALM) Ensure robust controls and comprehensive documentation exists and meet all internal policies and standards Work with model users and stakeholders to support appropriate model use and understanding of controls Work closely with other teams within Finance and maintain engagement, which is an important aspect of the role About you What will you bring to the role?
A proven track record of relevant analytical experience in current role Good knowledge of cash flows, mortgages and the finance processes within a building society or bank, and how these can be modelled Experience of data manipulation using SQL (or equivalent such as R or Python) and Microsoft Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain models and calculations in a clear and concise way, alongside building and nurturing relationships with a variety of stakeholders Desirable skills Knowledge and production of pricing or forecasting models Knowledge of financial model methods and techniques, such as Return on Capital (RoC) About us At YBS we don ' t have shareholders, we have members.
