Start Date: TBC Probation Period: 6 months from start date The Role: Reporting to the Head of Creative, you'll be joining a dynamic and friendly design team of five working across a range of exciting projects for industry-leading luxury retail brands.
This senior position comes with the unique opportunity to contribute to the creative direction of the studio, so a high taste level and experience of creating innovative, thoughtful and engaging 3D design work is a must.
Ideal Experience:- 5+ years of 3D design experience gained either agency or brand side- Experience in the luxury or premium retail industry with an understanding of all touch points from window displays to pop-up shops, brand activations and POS.
Specific knowledge designing for beauty and skincare brands would be a major plus- Management experience with a coaching mindset and the ability to develop junior team members Responsibilities: Design:- Creatively responding to client briefs from initial research and concept through to detailed design execution Producing well thought through design proposals (moodboards, renders, drawings) for a range of 3D projects from larger window displays and brand activations down to smaller scale POS units Leading complex design projects from start to finish with support of the wider team Producing dimensioned design intent packs and briefing/reviewing engineering drawings to ensure design integrity, guarding the overall look and feel of given projects Partnering with the Head of Creative to define the creative direction of key projects and the wider studio Presenting creative ideas internally and to clients Contributing to the creative culture of the studio Project Management:- Liaising actively with clients and suppliers on projects, quotes and production Partnering with Engineering and Production teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard Using project management software to track time, plan capacity and ensure accurate invoicing Supporting the Head of Creative with studio planning and team capacity forecasting Visiting suppliers and attending installations where necessary Skills:- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and production for retail environments with working health and safety legislation knowledge Confident presentation and communication skills Excellent organisational skills with an inherent ability to prioritise tasks- Strong experience in 3D design programmes and Adobe CS.
Cinema 4D advanced knowledge required and experience with Redshift render engine would be advantageous (any other 3D software, video and animation skills a plus!)
Knowledge of luxury brand aesthetics and visual merchandising principles Hands on installation experience would be an asset Experience mentoring and/or managing junior team members *YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO LONDON OFFICE x3 PER WEEK!
