Send Learning Support Assistant

At Leader Education , we are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support children within a SEND school who cater for both primary and secondary students, this school is based in Alnwick, Northumberland.
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have had previous experience working with young people who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) , as well as a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 until 15:30.
Working with Leader Education: Competitive pay rates Refer a friend or colleague bonus scheme: £100 per referral (terms apply) Free CPD training including Safeguarding A dedicated consultant to answer any queries and for ongoing support Potential permanent contract after a qualifying period The successful Candidate will: Candidates will need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one Provide one-on-one support to students with EHCP's Monitor and manage student's behaviour and wellbeing Support the development of social and emotional skills Assist with personal care if needed Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse need Interested candidates are invited to submit a comprehensive CV outlining their teaching experience, qualifications which are relevant to this role.
