Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant Location: Southampton- SO16 Working Pattern: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8.45am-3pm.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and will be committed to supporting our students in overcoming challenges to achieve academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, ensuring their emotional and educational needs are met.
Foster a calm and caring environment that encourages student engagement and independence.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
Assist in delivering a broad curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.
Utilize strong emotional intelligence (EQ) to build trusting relationships with students and support their emotional well-being.
Demonstrate initiative in identifying areas of need and suggesting strategies for improvement.
Key Requirements: A clear understanding of SEMH and the challenges faced by students with these needs.
Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.
Calm, caring, and kind demeanor, with a genuine passion for helping students thrive.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting children with SEN is desirable.
