The school is looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Classroom Assistant to assist children with physical disabilities in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school life.
Your role will involve providing both academic support and helping with personal care needs making a meaningful difference in the childrens daytoday school experience.
Responsibilities: Assist students with physical disabilities in the classroom helping them engage with the curriculum and complete tasks.
Provide personal care support including assistance with mobility feeding and toileting as needed.
Collaborate with teachers and the SENCo to implement personalised learning plans for students.
Support students in developing social skills and building confidence in group activities.
Use appropriate equipment and resources to support the physical needs of students in the classroom.
Monitor the progress of students providing regular feedback to the SENCo and classroom teacher.
Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience working with children with physical disabilities is essential.
Experience in providing personal care including assistance with mobility feeding and toileting is required.
Patience empathy and a nurturing approach are key to this role.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers support staff and parents.
A clear DBS check.
Legal right to work in the UK.
