Our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is seeking an experienced Semi-skilled Electrical Calibration Operator to work on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment and perform Electrical Safety Checks.

As a Semi-skilled Electrical Calibration Operator, the successful candidate will join the Calibration & Maintenance Department, where they will be responsible for calibrating electrical COTS equipment using METCAL.

They should possess proven planning and organisational skills and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
BTEC Level 3 in Electrical & Electronics or equivalent is preferred.
Relevant experience in a calibration & maintenance environment.
Manual handling training.
ESD training - desired.
Medical requirements No colour blindness.
Health surveillance requirements Colophony health surveillance.
What you'll get to do as a Semi-skilled Electrical Calibration Operator: The role involves several key responsibilities to ensure the effective calibration and maintenance of equipment.
The primary tasks include maintaining calibration test records and updating databases, providing assistance to skilled operators during the calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment, and carrying out Electrical Safety Checks.
Additionally, the role requires checking and completing all paperwork associated with Calibration & Maintenance (C&M) tasks in accordance with departmental procedures.
Maintaining the highest level of workmanship and quality standards is essential, as is ensuring compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the department.
Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply.
As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
