The school are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team and contribute to our mission of inspiring lifelong learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
This position will start in January and run full-time until July 2025.
The successful candidate who gets on well in the school environment will also be offered the opportunity to go permanent.
Responsibilities: Plan and teach lessons following the national curriculum.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students' curiosity and engagement with the subject.
Regularly assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lesson plans accordingly.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources, schemes of work, and assessment materials.
Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay up-to-date with the latest educational research.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students' progress and wellbeing.
Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events as required.
Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK or overseas teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and/or KS4 in a UK secondary school setting.
Excellent subject knowledge across all three Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
A proven track record of raising student attainment in Science through effective teaching strategies and differentiation techniques.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders.
