Main duties of the job With respect to practice rotas, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of practice duties, including face to face consultations, telephone consultations and home/care home visiting(rare).
We would expect duties such like actioning bloods, tasks, checking and signing EPS repeat prescriptions and PA scripts, dealing with queries to be part of the day to day schedule, and dealing with queries.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Developing care plans for patients with long term conditions Providing counselling and health education Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary and working to ICB guidelines.
Supporting/supervising Physician Associates when required ensure smooth running of the practice.
Supervising GP Registarars and Physicians associates.
