Main duties of the job The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
By working as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medicalservices to the practice population, the candidate will deliver an excellent standard ofclinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
Furthermore, thepost-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributingto the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining apositive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
Normal duties includes surgery consultations, visiting patients at home, duty doctor responsibilities, face to face consultations and signing repeat prescriptions.
The candidate will be responsible for ordering, viewing and actioning patient test results, patient medical reports and examinations, and making onward referrals.Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, annual QOF Assessment of the Practice.Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation.
Attending training, Practice Meetings and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.
