We are the PCN covering the Mayflower Healthcare GP practice footprint.
Our PCN clinical team is fully integrated into the practices, and we share the same values, collaborative approach and organisational structures and processes across our entire network of practices.This role is open to a GP on the NHSE Performers List who, at the point of engagement, has completed their training within the last two years but has not yet held a substantive post.You will be an enthusiastic, motivated, team focused GP looking to enhance your developing portfolio by gaining experience in a large but personalised primary care organisation.You will be keen to integrate within our existing team and participate in the modern general practice model delivering holistic patient centred care to our patients.You will gain valuable experience, knowledge and insight into working at scale alongside a professional and well-established multi-disciplinary team.We are flexible on the weekly number of sessions available and your usual days of work.

Main duties of the job The SalariedGP is integral to providing primary healthcare services and ensuring thewell-being of the patients across all demographics.
This role involvesdelivering a full range of medical services, including diagnosis, treatment,and prevention of diseases, to patients of all ages, managing both acute andchronic conditions.
The position requires a collaborative approach tohealthcare, working alongside a team of healthcare professionals to facilitateeffective treatment outcomes and high standards of patient care.In additionto clinical duties, the Salaried GP will actively participate in theimprovement of medical services within the practice, contributing to practicemanagement and decision-making processes.

Our surgeries provide healthcare to 35,000 patients at the following locations Stirling Road, Ernesettle, Trelawny, Mannamead and Mount Gould.Plymouth is renowned for its good road and rail connections, vibrant city living and within proximity to all the amenities and landscapes in both Devon and Cornwall and the Dartmoor National Park.As a group, our vision is to enable patients to live longer and healthier lives that are full, active and meaningful.

Our service is undertaken by our vast multidisciplinary team of GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Pharmacists, Paramedics and Nursing teams, as well as our PCN staff.

Expertise in managing both acute and chronic conditions, with a comprehensive approach to patient care.
Qualifications Essential Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
Completion of a full course of training in general practice (CCT) or equivalent recognised by the GMC.
Regulatory Compliance Essential The GP ARRS role is funded until 31 March 2025 and is for a GP who must have qualified two years before employment at the start of their employment or engagement.
The GP cannot have been substantively employed as a GP in general practice previously UNLESS agreed with the commissioner.
The contract is likely to be a fixed term contract indicating a regular number and pattern of sessions, rather than 'as and when' cover and has the potential to turn into a longer-term commitment, subject to funding for 25/26.
