Job summary We are seeking a salaried GP to join our busy general practice team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic GP to work for up to six sessions a week as part of our friendly and supportive clinical team to deliver safe and effective care.
Main duties of the job You will deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for our patients.
You will also participate in education and training across the practice and will play a full role in meeting the practice's targets and in developing services to meet the needs of our patients.
About us Dyneley House Surgery is a CQC-rated outstanding practice providing primary medical services in the vibrant market town of Skipton, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
We are a rapidly expanding practice committed to providing an excellent service to our 15,000 patients.
We are also a teaching and training practice.The practice is led by a team of six partners who work with their clinical team of salaried GPs, ACPs, practice nurses, clinical pharmacists and healthcare assistants.
Our patients also benefit from the services of a mental health nurse, mental health coaches, social prescribers and a first-contact physiotherapist.
Our non-clinical team ensures that the practice functions efficiently.
We use SystmOne and can provide training and support to GPs who are not familiar with this.We are part of the Wharfedale, Airedale and Craven Alliance (WACA) primary care network which consists of seven local practices that work together to deliver PCN targets and to share good practice.
We are a park run practice.
We host self-help groups and our PPG meets regularly.
Job description Job responsibilities The core responsibilities of a salaried GP at Dyneley House are:assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems through face to face, telephone and online consultations and home visits;the delivery of effective medical care to the practice population;the provision of services in line with the GMS contract;prescribing in line with national and local guidance;effective management of long-term conditions;processing of administrative tasks in a timely fashion - including referrals and repeat prescription requests;being part of the duty doctor rota;covering enhanced access evening clinics on a pro-rata basis;maintaining accurate clinical records in line with good practice;adhering to best practice in line with clinical guidance;contributing to the implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice;supporting the training of medical students;taking part in practice audits;participating in weekly and monthly practice meetings, clinical meetings, MDTs and SEA reviews.There may be a requirement to carry out other tasks from time to time.
