Banner Lane has been retained by a specialist high-tech RF electronics company to recruit a Systems Architect.
As a Systems Architect, you will collaborate with a diverse range of customers to design and manufacture fully customizable RF over fibre systems (including SIGINT and COMINT), antennas and stacked antenna systems, software-defined radio, RF filtering and conditioning, electromagnetic spectrum and decoding receivers, and IED/ECM defeat systems.
Predominantly serving Government and Defence customers, our client is a gold-standard Investor in People, maintains strong ties with academia, and is supported by a major international defence technology contractor.
Systems Architects play a crucial role from the early stages of the project lifecycle.
Whether engaging with product management on new roadmap ideas, collaborating with business development teams on tender responses, or consulting directly with customers, Systems Architects drive the development and refinement of product specifications.
In this role, you will decompose system and subsystem requirements, facilitating close collaboration with our client's broader development teams.
You'll guide technical activities, review designs, and lead the verification processes needed to validate solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop new product concepts from inception through to manufacturing.
- Conduct modeling and analysis to ensure products meet the stringent demands of end users.
- Collaborate with engineers to address the technical requirements of development projects.
- Share expertise and foster knowledge exchange within the technical team.
- Pursue continuous improvement in the engineering department's capabilities.
While technical expertise in electronics is essential, this role requires a strong multidisciplinary engineering background.
Skills / Experience / Qualifications: We are particularly interested if you have: - A degree (honours) in a relevant engineering discipline, with extensive design experience.
- Proven expertise in designing products for manufacturing.
- Experience with high-frequency analogue/digital RF products.
