This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.Key Responsibilities:Initial Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations, to diagnose respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, lung cancer, and interstitial lung diseases.Diagnostic Testing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including spirometry, chest X-rays, and CT scans, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.Treatment and Care Plans: Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribing medications and recommending non-pharmacological interventions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.Patient Education: Provide education on disease management, lifestyle changes, and medication adherence, ensuring patients are empowered to manage their condition.Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with respiratory nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care and follow-up.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
Completion of specialty training in Respiratory Medicine (or equivalent).
MRCP (or equivalent) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
Desirable Previous experience working in sleep studies would be beneficial
