This is an exciting opportunity to support our world-leading researchers and develop your career in research administration as a Research Support Manager.
The post holder will work as part of the Faculty Research Services team and have specific responsibility to support academics within the National Graphene Institute (NGI).The post-holder will work alongside the Research Support Managers across the schools to provide mutual support and cover across the schools research activities.
Research Support Managers develop and deliver integrated and effective research support service that maximises our ability to attract researchers and research income, undertake high quality research, and exploit research outcomes.
Working closely with academic staff, particularly the Institute Director and Head of Department, to support the development of research activity and other externally funded projects in the broadest sense.
You will work as part of a team of professional services colleagues within the Faculty's Research and Business Services team to deliver a high quality and customer-focused service supporting the development of research and other externally funded projects in the widest sense.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a broad understanding of research support and the research lifecycle will be essential.
You will also have a flexible, collaborative and creative approach to work.
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines are also essential.
Experience of research support administration is highly desirable.
Interviews will take place on either the 18th or 19th of December.
