Research Nurse/Practitioner/Late Phase Team Lead

Job summary We have an exciting opportunity within our service for a dynamic, enthusiastic, forward thinking, and experienced Senior Research nurse.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in clinical research, leadership experience, and a passion for advancing healthcare through innovative research practices.
They should possess a relevant nursing qualification and be registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
The successful applicant will provide clinical management and support to the existing Research Team, having oversight of our late phase portfolio of studies and playing an integral part in the feasibility and set up of clinical trials, in collaboration with R&D.
You will provide leadership and management for our Clinical Trials delivery unit, driving the education and assessment programme for our delivery team.
You will possess excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, and be committed to providing a supportive culture within the team.
Main duties of the job Main duties of the roleManagement of staff, including appraisals, workload, performance and adherence to Trust policies.Patient recruitment and Late Phase portfolio management/oversight.Supporting Senior Research Nurse Manager with day to day delivery of the late phase portfolio.Management of documentation to support all research activity.Promote and support departmental education and training.Instigate and implement service improvement.Ensure quality standards are maintained within delivery service.

Masters degree or equivalent experience or qualification.
Evidence of continued professional development Working knowledge of and its application in the NHS research environment, Desirable Clinical Research Qualification.
Teaching qualification Experience Essential Experience as a specialist nurse.
Experience of caring for patients within the research setting.
Desirable Experience of caring for patients in the Cancer setting Clinical skills in delivering novel Clinical Trials therapies.
Skills & Attributes Essential Ability to work on own initiative Excellent communication skills Computing skills Good patient advocate Teaching and presentation skills Counselling skills Knowledge of the research process and regulatory requirements - and research governance.
