This role involves designing, optimising, and validating microphysiological systems that replicate human organ functions, helping to study disease mechanisms, drug responses, and tissue interactions.
The ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of personalised medicine.As a Research Fellow, you will work closely with experts in biology, engineering and materials science, to develop reliable in-vitro disease modelling platforms.
You will lead efforts to generate experimental data, integrate findings across disciplines, and refine models to accurately mimic disease conditions.
Candidates with a background in cell biology, bioengineering, or pharmacology, and experience in tissue culture, microfluidics, and disease modelling are encouraged to apply.The role also includes commercial engagement, collaborating with industry partners to translate research into commercial products and therapies.
You will work with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and regulatory agencies to ensure that the models meet industry standards.
Additionally, you will have opportunities to present research at conferences, publish in top journals, and contribute to grant proposals.This position is ideal for a candidate passionate about innovation in biomedical science and technology.
