What You'll Be Doing Lead Research Initiatives: Investigate methodologies for defining and delivering software, encompassing tools, techniques, and standards.
Collaborate Across Sectors: Represent our client within an enterprise industry partnership, participating in workshops and events.
University & SME Engagement: Work with universities and SMEs to conduct research that supports current and future projects.
Support Early Careers Programmes (ECP): Propose and sponsor projects, with outcomes published externally and applied within the organisation.
Drive Innovation: Influence the software engineering technology strategy, identifying new tools, methods, and capabilities.
Internal Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with technical experts, software architects, and special interest groups to embed new knowledge and technologies.
Governance & Reporting: Produce reports and presentations to support organisational governance and align stakeholders.
What We're Looking For Research Leadership: Proven experience leading research activities related to software delivery.
Software Engineering Expertise: Broad knowledge across software engineering disciplines.
Communication & Collaboration: Ability to articulate ideas clearly, influence collaborators, and engage internal and external stakeholders.
Organisational Skills: Capable of prioritising research activities and delivering updates to universities/SMEs.
Knowledge Sharing: Proactively share insights with internal experts and technical communities.
Willingness to Travel: Occasional travel with overnight stays may be required.
What We Offer Competitive Salary: Circa £57,000 based on experience.
