Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a Progression and Regulation Administrator.
This is a busy and varied role and will provide administrative support for postgraduate medical education and training in the Midlands.
We are looking for an individual who can manage and prioritise their own workload within a fast-paced environment and is a team player.
A good working knowledge of Office365, including Microsoft Office and the ability to manipulate information from a variety of sources is essential.
It is important that the post holder has excellent communication skills and can deal sensitively with people at all levels.

Main duties of the job The Regulation and Progression teamsupport doctors and dentists in training to actively move forwards in their career progression,This role involves a number of complex areas of work which include: Assessments for all levels of training and Schools/Specialties.
This includes setting dates with schools, securing panel members, booking venues, liaising with trainees, drafting, or producing the timetable/s preparation of paperwork and ensuring that assessments are undertaken for all trainees.
Attend ARCP panels to act as an advisor to ensure panels are carried out as per the relevant Gold Guide.
Ensuring any actions arising from ARCP panel meetings are followed up, liaising with other teams within the organisation as appropriate.
Support ARCP reviews and appeals (which involves legal correspondence and formal hearings) Support the management of complex trainee cases Compiling and analysing data relating to ARCPs for a variety of purposes, including the annual GMC data return, and monthly Business Intelligence reports to the Senior Management Team.
Management of data within the Trainee portfoliosTo respond to queries from a variety of stakeholders Participate in and provide support for various training events run by the Regulation and Progression Team.

Person Specification Qualifications/Education Essential Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience Intermediate knowledge of IT systems in particular Microsoft Office Knowledge and Experience Essential Demonstrable experience in an administrative role supporting business function in a busy environment Experience of routinely organising multiple meetings and events Ablility to create databases and spreadsheets and using them effectively to produce reports Understanding of confidentiality and Data Protection legislation Skills Essential Excellent communicator with good writing, data entry and telephone skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative Manage schedulers, organise, and prioritise future commitments to ensure that diaries are effectively and efficiently managed in order to assist with the priorities of the team Be responsible for accurate input of data and maintaining accurate databases/spreadsheets and providing information for reports Values & Behaviours Essential Champion equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and be proactive as a member of the team in the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion to ensure that EDI is embedded into working culture, behaviour, values and practice
