Job summary We are seeking a highly motivated band 5 registered learning disability nurse to join our team at The Laurels & Briary.
Main duties of the job We are a specialist residential service for adults with learning disabilities and mental health, within Swansea Bay university health board.
We support adults of different ages, with a diverse need.
This includes profound and multiple learning disabilities with complex health needs, challenging behaviours, physical and mental health needs.
We support these individuals in all aspects of their daily living.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Professional Registration with NMC Desirable Evidence of post graduate study Teaching and assessing/mentorship of students Experience and Knowledge Essential Experience of multi-disciplinary and/or multi-agency working.
Knowledge of the principles of Clinical Governance Documented evidence of CPD Awareness of Health and Safety legislation Desirable Experience of research and/ or audit and implementing evidence based practice Experience of working with the designated client group Broad knowledge of current best practice with designated client group Awareness of specific government policy / legislation pertinent to the clinical areas.
